The Technology Behind DAS Chain

A modular, interoperable blockchain architecture built with the Cosmos SDK — designed for phased decentralisation and real-world empowerment.

Status: Architecture and core modules in development. Testnet features activate progressively.

Technology That Empowers People

DAS Chain is being built on a modern, modular blockchain stack that emphasises transparency, interoperability, and long-term sustainability rather than premature complexity.

By leveraging the Cosmos SDK and Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC), DAS Chain is designed to connect people, applications, and communities through a decentralised network that grows in capability through clearly defined phases.

Technical components are introduced incrementally to ensure stability, security, and maintainability.

DAS Ecosystem Layers

A high-level view of how users, protocol modules, validators, and interchain connections fit together.

Cosmos SDK In build

Modular Architecture

Built using Cosmos SDK modules such as Auth, Bank, Staking, Governance, Mint, and Distribution — enabling controlled upgrades without disruptive rewrites.

Security Planned

Validator Network

Validators operating under CometBFT consensus will secure the network. Validator onboarding begins during public testnet phases.

Interoperability Planned

Interchain Communication

IBC enables cross-chain messaging and asset transfers once network stability and security benchmarks are achieved.

Smart contracts Exploratory

Future EVM Compatibility

Ethermint-based EVM support is being evaluated to allow Solidity smart contracts to run alongside native Cosmos modules, balancing developer access with security and maintenance complexity.

Core Technology Components

Consensus In build

CometBFT Finality

CometBFT provides fast finality and Byzantine fault tolerance. Consensus parameters are tested and refined during testnet phases prior to mainnet activation.

Security Planned

Slashing & Incentives

Incentive and slashing mechanisms are designed to align economic behaviour with network security and will be published before validator onboarding begins.

Governance Phased

Upgrades via Governance

Governance is expected to evolve from founder-led stewardship to broader on-chain participation as the network matures. Upgrade processes will be activated progressively.

IBC Planned

Inter-Blockchain Communication

DAS Chain is architected to support IBC, enabling trust-minimised communication with other Cosmos chains. IBC channels will be opened in later phases once core network stability is proven.

EVM Roadmap

EVM Compatibility

Planned EVM integration would allow Solidity smart contracts to run alongside native Cosmos modules, supporting DApps, NFTs, and other on-chain applications where aligned with the project’s values and security posture.

Cosmos SDK Modules

The chain is being structured around standard Cosmos SDK components (Auth, Bank, etc.) to provide a proven foundation and a predictable developer experience.
